Please don’t panic. We don’t like change either, but we had to make this one.

Our Core Processor system, the software that keeps track of your money and loans was replaced on October 1st, and it affects what you see in Virtual Branch. We have worked hard to minimize the changes members see, but changes were made.

Virtual Branch changes we don’t like:

  • The numbers associated with your accounts changed, your number 6 Savings account might be a number 54 Savings now. Your membership number the 5 digit or longer number has not changed.
  • The couples who setup individual logins to Virtual Branch will go back to shared logins.
  • The transfer of your transactions from the old system to the new system is only minimally useful. The descriptions are terrible, we agree, but the amounts are correct. New transaction descriptions going forward are more what we are all accustomed to. You will need to make use of your statements to see accurate descriptions of your transactions prior to October 1st.
  • Links to your check images prior to October 1st are not available.

Virtual Branch changes we like:

  • The Manage Cards link still shows detailed information about purchases linked to your card.
  • Your Virtual Branch login and password has not changed.
  • Virtual Branch users will be able to send money directly to another member if they know their member number. You can save that link with a name that means something to you for easy use again.
  • Your Bill Pay transactions will not need to be setup again and continued during the transition.
  • Any Scheduled transfers you made in Virtual Branch will not need to be setup again.
  • Nicknames you assigned in Virtual Branch will still be there.
  • Your eStatements are all available and show detailed transaction history.

What we recommend:

  • Make use of the Nicknames feature. O the web version of Virtual Branch https://online.ktfcu1.org/. Click Settings, Accounts, Nicknames. You can then change the account names to something meaningful to you. On the app Click Edit Accounts.
  • If you no longer have access to one of your accounts, contact us and we will restore that access.
  • Check your Scheduled Transfers to your other accounts, if they are missing you will need to add them back.
  • Verify your Bill Pay account is unchanged.
  • Verify your External Transfer accounts are unchanged.
